Building Fire
On Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 3:30pm, our building caught fire. It was a total loss. Thankfully, there were no injuries. However, nothing was salvaged. The church immediately began meeting in the Baptist Collegiate Ministry building at 719 N Bradley for services. Two weeks later we celebrated the Church's 50th Anniversary.
Our immediate response: The building was lost, but the Church is fine.
Rebuild
We immediately began the work to clear the property of our old building. We also embarked on the journey to count costs, assess needs, and determine if we would be able to rebuild.
By God's grace, he answered our prayers and began to funnel money in our direction. Insurance, grants, and other churches from around the country have given in support of our rebuild. Even former college students from all over the world sent money back. They told us that Trinity invested in them while in college and so now they wanted to invest back into Trinity. I was a blessing from God to receive those words!
Planning , Design, and Construction
The Church elected a team of five church members plus our pastors to act as our new Facilities Team. This team was given the responsibility to determine everything about the new building from its size to its location to is layout. They have worked hard for more than two years to seek God, plan long-term for the good of the church, and strive to be wise stewards of what God had entrusted to us.
After all this work, construction has finally begun! Fruitful labor has been realized. it is an exciting time to see the Lord's blessing and leadership become a reality right before our eyes!
